A place to pause.
Space to grieve.

Free, secluded retreats in nature for bereaved parents.

Request to Stay

Our mission

When the world expects a grieving parent to carry on, we believe there should be somewhere to stop. A few quiet days, a place in nature, and no expectations at all.

Córa's story

Why we made this place

The Foundation is named for our daughter, Córa. After we lost her, we found that the hardest thing was not the noise of the world but its expectations — that we would carry on, as though a part of us had not gone with her.

Someone kind once offered us a few quiet days away. They held us when little else could — and the Foundation exists to pass that gift on, in Córa's name.

How it works

Gentle, private, and free

One

A parent reaches out

A few words, in their own time — for themselves, or from someone reaching out on their behalf. There's no long form.

Two

We arrange a stay

We find a secluded cabin in nature and quietly take care of every detail. It costs the family nothing.

Three

They go, and rest

A few unhurried days that are entirely theirs — to stay, sleep, walk, or simply be still. We ask nothing in return.

Every stay is free and held in confidence. There is no cost, no catch, and no judgement — only space.

We're gathering quiet places

We're only just beginning. Right now we're looking for the cabins, lodges and quiet places in nature where families will one day rest — and for the kind people who own them.

Coming soon
The kind of place we're looking for.

Do you have a quiet place to share?

If you own a secluded cabin or a place in nature, you can open it to a bereaved family for just a few days at a time. We think it's a quiet win for everyone — you fill the gaps in your calendar, and a grieving family is given room to breathe.

  • Fill the quiet gaps. The midweek nights, the off-season weeks, the dates that would otherwise sit empty — offered when it suits you.
  • It costs only space. You give a few days in nature; we take care of the family, the details and every cost along the way.
  • A gentle kind of giving. Your cabin becomes somewhere a grieving family can simply breathe — a quiet way to do something that matters.

We'd love to talk it through, gently.
