The Foundation is named for our daughter, Córa. This is how it came to be — told gently, in our own time.
Grief doesn't take holidays. Sometimes you need to.
The Foundation is named for our daughter, Córa. Everything here is built in her name — the rose is her tribute, and the quiet is for her.
After we lost her, we found the hardest thing was not the noise of the world but its expectations — that we would carry on, show up, keep going, as though a part of us had not gone with her.
Then someone kind, close to us, offered us a week away in a place they owned. Somewhere to escape to — no need to dress, to explain, or to bump into anyone.
For the first time, we had time — together as a couple — to actually grieve. No expectations. No performance. Just a few unhurried days that were entirely ours.
“Those few quiet days held us when little else could.”
The Foundation exists to pass that gift on — to give other bereaved parents the same chance to step away, in Córa's name. It is small, and it is unpolished, and that is exactly the point.
We're only just beginning — gathering the cabins and quiet places where families will one day rest. If you'd like to help us hold that door open, there are gentle ways to.
